Sensenbrenner Votes to Starve Big Bird

Jim Sensenbrenner stayed true to form this week. The House, on a voice vote, removed a large chunk of funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting but, after hearing from constituents, reversed course in a roll call vote and restored about half of the money. As we've learned to expect by now, Jim voted against restoring the money to keep programs like Sesame Street going. Even Oscar the Grouch wouldn't be so mean.
